I have watched Shutter Island. I liked the plot and ending to this movie. It may not appeal to most audiences. I’ve been told the movie is confusing at time, but I found it appropriate. The way they laid out the story was enough to keep me from saying “Wait, what?” like a lot of bad movies do. They way they threw the story at you right away and then building up the mystery giving you bits of foreshadow. Later, more and more dreams and illusions that happens inside the main character’s head are shown and you start to learn about the mystery and why he is on Shutter Island.

Shutter Island could be made into a decent mystery thriller game. It reminded me of Call of Cthulhu and Silent Hill (minus the combat against creatures). The plot in Shutter Island may seem predictable or a already-been-done thriller as it does remind me a lot about other mystery thrillers. It is still overall a decent film. I myself do not have any critical complaints about it. I liked it and I don’t “like” things too often.

It is a change from most films these days. The ending was a nice touch, I wasn’t expecting it.
